i’ve been wanting to do this for a while now.
Three books up for grabs:
[1] ‘i, church’ – my first book talking about how church is much more than simply that meeting at that place on that day with those people… for any of you who love Jesus but are having some difficulty with the idea and concept of church, this might be the book for you.
[2] Free by Mark Scandrette – with the tagline ‘Spending your time and money on what matters most’, Free is an excellent book to work through by yourself or even better with a group of people to see if you really are spending your life on the things that you see as most important. tbV and i ran a book study in Americaland and have been threatening to do so again since coming back to SA…
[3] Blame it on the Huehuetenango by Michael Toy is a poetry book for the recovering evangelical – Michael Toy is a word weaver and the majority of these poems are really creatively good and dark and helpful and challenging. For people struggling with faith or the church, Michael puts some words and imagery to your feelings. This is well worth having a copy of.
What do you have to do to WIN these books? Simply subscribe to my blog – brettfish.co.za – and then share the message of this competition on the Twitterer or Facebook [or some other social media you might be part of] and you will be entered – i will randomly pick a winner at the end of next week from the Mailchimp newsletter list and the books will be sent your way.
That’s really it – it would be great if the prizewinner jumps on to Amazon and writes a review of the books there as a thank you to the authors who are both friends of mine. But that’s really up to you.
First things first, add your email address to the mailing list signup at the top right of this page, click SHARE on the social media icons below this post and you are good to go…
