When switching from my old website to my new one, not everything made the jump and so i am creating this as a base page to stick helpful links about Bible-related things that will hopefully prove to be helpful resoources for you.
So far i have worked through the Psalms in a series i called ‘Psalmthings’, and then i did short video blogs through the book of Mark in a series called ‘Mark: My words’ and i also did a section where i looked at various of my ‘Favourite Verses’ that i enjoy and spoke a little bit about why.
In the not too distant future i will hopefully have the links back in here so you can make the most of them…
#rugboereworsmustfall this is some to get behind. Wy are black players not given a chance? It’s only Afrikaans boys and not black players even at school levels. I’m under 18 at paarl, but this is not right as out of 92 tryouts 50 black, 42 white, they choose 70 percent white and te team games is mostly Afrikaans white.
Please do a #rugboereworsmustfall article. I trust you might be too scared as it will get lots of public outcry. But it’s growing. Please it’s good for young man morality to play a sport.
Thanks Emile. i have not heard enough about #rubboereworsmustfall to have much of a valuable opinion on it and don’t have the capacity to research it at the moment, but if you feel up to writing your story and sharing some ideas around it then perhaps i can run it as a guest post. Email your story to me at brettfish@hotmail.com with a pic of yourself and let’s see what we can do.
Great blog mate. Have you looked into Ubuntu. Read the book Ubuntu contributionism.by Michael tellinger. It’s got plenty great ideas of eliminating money and firming a society based on contributing. If there is no money, we all forced to be fair. It’s very simple. Money is the root cause of slavery and all our current problems 🙂 have a look, would interested to see you do a writeup on this.
Thanks Nathan. i haven’t read that book but i think i get the idea and have seen it work on smaller scales with differing success. i think conceptually it feels like a good idea but practically it becomes quite difficult to manage and i’m afraid with the hearts of mankind tending towards greed and oneupmanship i don’t think it will ultimately end all the problems we hope it would. Also practically speaking on a global scale i don’t know that it’s feasible but finding ways to do it on a smaller scale with family, friends and community might be an amazing experiment.
Thanks for stopping by

Dear Brett,
I read your post about the veganism, but it seems you are not actually a vegan, but half vegan (once a week). Anyway, its great that you’re trying. I have found a great post on veganism (from a black author). I have been a vegan for 15 years now, and stopped eating meat after a trip to the abbatoir in 2001 as a child.

I feel that if you could read this when you have some time, it will put a lot of things in perspective for you as it shows it from a black person’s point of view (I’m a black girl as well). So please give it a read – very interesting.
I feel the world is evolving to a point of everyone or most people becoming vegan or vegetarian (ethically raised egg-farming). Many years ago women didn’t have rights, blacks didn’t have rights (USA) and now more and more are turning towards acceptance and equal rights – its only natural that we get rid of “human privilege” and instead of abusing the earth, we become custodians of it. Farming vegetables and plant based foods can fee many more people.
I’m not sure what your views on these things are from a Christian point of view – but I’m sure if it feels right and you are a good Christian, it must be from God.
Great blog.
Regards,
Chelsea
