So while i hate the idea of pineapple on pizza, i have absolutely nothing against people who love pineapple on pizza [weirdos!] but after raiSINs and the non-word ‘bae’ it probably is the thing i pick on the most as a regular in Hashtagging games. But it’s a joke and always has been – despite an unfortunate incident with an old friend who felt like it was a personal attack because of how ‘strong’ i get with my anti-pineapple-pizza’ism [so apologies for that!]

All that aside i had been wanting to play a game with Muttley Matt forever as he has been my chief anti-pineapple0on-pizza nemesis and this was the week and so, of course, we had to go there.

[The Story So Far: Every Wednesday at 12 noon South African time [6am EDT] an inspired and growing number of brilliant, creative and absolutely fun people from all around the world take part in what is called a Hashtag game. @AFrikkinHashtag [say it out loud] is South Africa’s #1 Hashtag game and is always a lot of fun. The F.L.O.P. [or Fish List Of Prizeworthyness] is the collection of some of the best tweets from each week’s game and is what all seriously comedic Hashtaggers aspire to…]

Matt, aka @1CynicalCyborg, is a super fun guy and it was so interesting hearing a little bit of his story and really great having him co=host with us as he had been an AFH regular for as long as i can remember:

Muttley Matt pizza hashtag game

By now you know the drill, so we sent out an invite and a few examples of my own…

Matt was, of course, quickly into the mix;

We had some of our regular bot friends swing by:

And even a bot tune of the game:

And then there were all of you – so many great toppings to this little game and of course we couldn’t pick them all, so once we had weeded out the pineapple and anchovies, we were left with this week’s…

K Dawg started us off with a glimpse into her exercise regime:

While Dreamweasel made a song and dance of it:

Lee got practical:

Saachi had a kind of ‘make love not war’ approach or was that ‘make love through war’?

While Kellie was in it for the companionship:

Natalia was letting love be her guide:

A big guitar used it to keep his pet happy:

Richard had all the architectural pun:

Patch kept it in the kitchen:

While Bannon went for the tried and tested:

Patch wasn’t done with the puns:

Liz had much greater aspirations:

Geff got a little messy:

While Tali alienated himself:

Neil took to the catwalk:

Rob had more sporty ideas in mind:

As did V:

While Brian’s felt a little Force’d:

Mr Paul had more devious intentions:

There had to be one:

Simon had a creative suggestion:

Neil was giving it all the feels:

Sammy had a different sort of proposal:

Alice was thinking of some divine intervention:

While Billy was looking out for the city:

Paladin looked in the mirror:

While Dava was not having any of it:

Jonas was feeling alright about life:

While Julian was in the [star] wars:

JoZ was wheely getting into this:

Sammy was throwing the party:

But also arming the welcoming party:

Gail was channeling her inner Rihanna:

While Dave was poking the bear:

Who would have thought there would be SO MANY different, fun and creative uses for pizza? Well, clearly you guys did. But, as with every week, there were a few whose ideas were just top[ping] and so put your oily hands together for this week’s:

[6] Larry using the reverse psychology approach:

[5] Rich got scientific:

[4] The Witty Guy certainly was as he rained down his puns on us:

[3] Elle let the dogs out:

[2] Planes Control dazzled us with their maths:

[1] While Disillusioned Hashtagger, despite the imagery, totally crushed it creativity-wise for this week’s TOP TWEET and TOP F.L.O.P.

Stunning work everyone, thanks for playing. Huge SHOUTOUT to Muttley Matt and long may our pineapple-on-pizza feud continue as well as the usual kudos to The UnNamed Ones from around the world who help make every game fly…

See you on Wed at 12 noon SA time or 6am EDT and let’s continue to KEEP IT FAMILY as you do and keep the WIT firmly in the Twitterer
