how great my art?

let me start by being perfectly honest here, i am not an artist... not in the drawing, painting, nude sculpture making sense anyways... when i was in high school i somehow managed to end up taking art as one of my choice subjects [i copied a monkey face pretty well back in standard 5/grade 7 and got accepted in art at westerford somehow that way] for grade 8 and 9 but very quickly found out [...]

so for those of you who haven't quite figured out or gotten involved with my life at the simple way blog yet, here are my first three links to some wild goose festival blogging that i have just done... this week tbV and myself are back in the 'hood and will be getting going with our specific work... http://thesimpleweigh.wordpress.com/2011/06/27/the-wild-goose-part-overall http://thesimpleweigh.wordpress.com/2011/06/27/the-wild-goose-part-shirt-and-sign http://thesimpleweigh.wordpress.com/2011/06/27/the-wild-goose-part-guns

where i've been slash am

so my irresistibly fish blog has been a little bit quiet since we left south africa because i have not had a lot of inet time and when i have i have been blogging my experiences on my new thesimpleweigh.wordpress.com blog so if you are wanting to follow our adventures at the simple way community i suggest you subscribe to that blog where most of my writing will likely happen while we're over here... if [...]

follow us as we simplify…

i have started a separate blog for posting 'the simple way' adventure related stuff so that people who are wanting to follow our journeys and have an idea of what's going on can simply sign up there and read whatever i get to write about things that are part of our philly trip - if that's you, you may want to bookmark this link where i have written a basic idea of what it's all [...]

why i believe that God is not faithfull

i was thinking about this the other day and it's a pretty silly semantical thort but it was mine and that it was too. [eh hem] and hopefully someone is already penning me an email [can one do that?] to tell me i spelt 'faithful' wrong, without reading the blog post [those are some of my favourite people] but actually that was the thort that ran thru my head the other day God is faithful, [...]

two kittens and a love for the church

sounds like the beginning of a cheesy christian greeting card... but it's not... more years ago than i can remember at will, i was hanging out with my friend sean tucker and he had just gotten two new kittens and i suggested names for them and Darth [the black one] and Catspurr [the friendly cat, and the white one] were born... wait, they had already been born but they were named... years later, sean and [...]

noooooo-body expects the royal wedding inquisition…

so yesterday was one of those fun days when i posted what i thort was a random thort on some global happening and turns out it wasn't... not that i am new to this or very much surprised - from not joining the save the orangutang group on facebook which eventually [after much patient messaging and reasoning and trying to be nice] scored Justine from Australia the prize of being the first person i had [...]

faith, hope and silly attempts at funny one liners

so i haven't been blogging here much lately - largely it's because tbV and i have been doing transcription work for the HSRC which takes up a lot of our time and involves a bigger lot of typing - listening to interviews on audio and typing them out and some of them are not very clear so it's a lot of focus and listening and scribing and so i guess i get a bit overtyped [...]

easter for dummies – part 2 – the save

so a quick recap then: # everyone has sinned and as the bible says "fallen short of the glory (or high standard) of God" # the wages/punishment/outcome of sin is death (both now in various areas, but also spiritually and eternally at the end) # on Easter Friday, the man many believed had come to save the world is lying stretched out on a cross, dying an agonising death. # one of the statements Jesus [...]

easter for dummies – part 1 – the problem

so for anyone out there not familiar with the Christian faith, this is what this holiday is all about in the shell of a nut: # mankind is sinful - this is a pretty easy one to verify - read a newspaper, watch the news, hang out with yourself for a 24 hour period or anyone else that you like or specifically some people you don't - you don't need test tubes in a lab [...]
